Financial Support

The financial impact can destructively affect a person’s recovery. Money worries have a negative effect on mental health. Together Against Cancer works with other organisations to help people when they desperately need financial assistance.

The community support grant scheme (CSG) is available to support vulnerable people experiencing financial hardship. Applicants will need to demonstrate that they are in financial hardship brought about by a one-off and sudden misfortune.

Big Difference Scheme

The Big Difference Scheme can help customers who are in receipt of a low income and struggling to pay their water charges. If eligible for the scheme, customers could receive up to 90% off the average Severn Trent Water bill.

Zinthiya Trust

Zinthiya Trust provide information, advice and practical help in Leicestershire to alleviate poverty and abuse.

Smart Works

Smart Works are an organisation that help women back to work after cancer. They will help you write a positive story around your career gap and clothes for an interview.

 

Emotional Support

The Quetzal Project

Quetzal provides free and inclusive counselling and emotional support services to empower female survivors’ recovery from the trauma of childhood sexual abuse.
