Ways to donate in memory

Losing a loved one is one of the most difficult challenges we are ever faced with. Making a donation in your loved one’s name can be a special and meaningful way of honouring his or her memory by making a lasting difference.

A one-off donation

Donations can be made directly online in your loved one’s memory.

Funeral or online collections

Organising a funeral collection is another way to honour those you have lost. We can provide collection envelopes so the donation can benefit from Gift Aid (if eligible). The funeral director may also be able to set you up a tribute fund for your loved one through muchloved.com.

Donation in lieu of flowers

Families may consider requesting a donation to their chosen charity in place of leaving flowers as an expression of sympathy and this is something that many funeral directors are happy to organise as part of their service.

Organise an activity

Grieving for a loved one can be a very difficult time and so, further down the line, you might consider organising a memorial event to celebrate and remember your loved one’s life.

Taking on a fundraising challenge in memory of someone can be a way to raise money for a cause that was close to their heart.

Whichever way you choose to donate, your money will help us to continue to care for those with cancer and their families. Every donation makes a difference.
