TAC x Life Links | Free Wellbeing Workshops For You
Julia Krupska Together Against Cancer are delighted to announce that we have teamed up with Life Links to offer the general public some FREE wellbeing workshops throughout February and March 2023, all held at Oadby Baptist Church, Leicester Rd, Oadby, Leicester LE2 5BD
Life Links is operated by national mental health charity Richmond Fellowship in partnership with Leicestershire County Council and LLR Health & Wellbeing Partnership. They provide a mental health and wellness recovery service in Leicestershire tailored to meet your needs – through information, advice and navigation services online and within the local community.
As part of our collaboration, there will be 3 workshops:
Maintaining Wellbeing
10th February 2023 | 10am-12pm
In this workshop, we will explore how to manage our emotions through food, exercise, the impact of drugs and sleeping well.
Reducing Tension & Safety Planning
24th February 2023 | 10am-12pm
In this session we will look at how to recognise signs of tension. We will then create a safety plan and explore some tips and tricks to reduce our tension before crisis point.
Mindfulness
10th March 2023 | 10am-12pm
In this workshop we will explore the benefits of mindfulness and talk through some techniques including deep breathing, muscle relaxation and grounding.
These free wellbeing workshops will be lead by external facilitators, but our very own Valerie will be attending to support the conversation and provide further information about our own services.
