We welcome visits at the centre so you can see the impact your fundraising will have on our cancer patients.   Together Against is a registered charity based in Leicester. The centre welcomes cancer patients from the time of diagnosis and up to 3 years beyond their last procedure. The support provided focuses on mindset, relaxation, nutrition, and boosting energy via the varied complementary therapies and workshop. The centre is currently supporting around 80 to 90 individuals living with cancer. In Ayurveda, India’s traditional system of wellbeing, head massage is known as Shiro Abhyanga and has long been valued as a calming and nurturing practice.What to ExpectThis will be a warm and welcoming session. You will remain seated and fully clothed throughout the workshop. Iwona will gently guide you through a calming self-massage designed to help settle the mind and relax the body.The session includes:• A gentle introduction to the history and traditional benefits of Ayurvedic head massage.• Guided practice with clear, step-by-step instructions and comfortable, gentle pressure.• Quiet rest at the end of the session, allowing you a few moments to notice how you feel.You will leave with a simple five-minute routine that you can use at home whenever you would like to slow down, release tension or prepare for rest.Five kind minutes on most days can be more valuable than one hour once in a while.Good to Know• No previous experience is needed.• You are welcome to move at your own pace, make adjustments or simply sit and listen.• You will always be in control.
